I ordered this in a sample size in my bundle. I haven’t even used it yet, and it seems to have separated in the bottle. White stuff all at the top and speckles of white stuff through out. I got the minty mix one, it didn’t do that. It looks kind of gross. Disappointed with this one.

I hate to leave a negative review amidst a sea of 5-stars, but unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this shampoo. I used it around five times total, and by the end of that time my hair felt so incredibly weighted down that I had to go out and buy a new shampoo today just to wash out the “gunky” feel.
For what it’s worth, I have thin hair that can get greasy easily. Usually I have to wash about every other day. However, I have never used a shampoo that actually made my hair feel more greasy than before I washed it. Not even just greasy, but like it’s been coated in something… And I’ve been using very natural shampoos for some time. I’m assuming it has something to do with the first several ingredients being oils and shea butter.
I most recently used the HCL Medium Brown dye, and also noticed that this stripped the indigo from my hair just as much as other shampoos I’ve used. I was hoping to cover the red from my most recently “Auburn” hair, which was the case for about two washes, but it has now prominently started showing again. I’ve read that oils are one of the few things that can strip henna so I’m kind of confused by this shampoo having so many?
Two stars for the lovely long-lasting scent and being cruelty free/natural. I’m glad this worked for others, but perhaps just isn’t for those of us with thinner hair.

This is new for Henna Color Lab and congrats on a great formula. I was using the lavender shampoo but decided to try this. A very delicate scent and, like all HCL shampoos, it is bubbly and rinses easily. I even bring my shampoo when I get my hair cut.
