Pros- This is one of the best dry shampoos I have tried. It is highly pigmented and does not leave your hair feeling weighed down and icky like a lot of dry shampoos. It also smells divine. I will continue to purchase it because of how well it works.
Cos- This is not easy to use, and not disability-friendly if you have shaky hands or coordination issues like I do. The shaker is not a good deliver method for something this pigmented. I tried to use it in another dry shampoo pump applicator that I have, but it is so pigmented It stained everything around me in puffs of pink. I discovered that the best application method is to use a larger makeup brush and apply it at the roots without touching the scalp. It’s a bit time-consuming, but it keeps you from having a pink scalp (and wow it is PINK, especially in the sun). This application method also helps conserve the product since the shaker it comes with has a lot of waste. Once you have some practice, you can apply about as quickly as a traditional dry shampoo. If you need product down into the length of the hair, a boar bristle style brush (the vegan one works great) works best to distribute down the hair without dying everything pink. I strongly suggest you do not try this product for the first time on a day you are running late for work, or you are going to have a pink day.
I still love the product, and I will buy it again. The loss of one star is due to packaging and ease of use and not the actual performance of the product.

I was so excited to try this dry shampoo, since shampoo and conditioner for red hair is so hard to find (or it’s all designed for fake red hair.) I have light red hair, close to the ginger color that they show in the product recommendation photos (and I use the Henna Color Lab Ginger Blonde henna dye to boost my color about every 6 to 9 months.) If you have red hair similar to this color, I DO NOT recommend this product! It turned my scalp and roots pink and maroon! I used it sparingly, as instructed and tried to brush it though my hair a lot, but it did not make the coloration from my scalp and roots go away.
As other reviewers noted, it is also pretty messy, so use it over the tub or shower. I think it would probably work well for people with dark red hair like an auburn or brown with red tones. Ginger or Strawberry Blondes, definitely not!
I still love the company’s product overall though. This was just not the right product for my hair color sadly.

I absolutely adore this. It instantly removes the appearance of grease in my bangs if it’s been a couple days since I washed my hair, or after a hard workout. Saves me a lot of trouble of constantly washing my hair, causing the dye to fade more quickly. And yes, as other reviewers mentioned, it can be messy, but you only need a tiny amount. Just a bare sprinkle will do it, and I usually brush it in a couple different directions to move it around, and come out with minimal mess. It adds a lovely shade when my hair is in need of a touch up, making it a deep red-orange that I love.

Hmmm… I want to love this, but it is sooooo messy! It smells delicious, adds a really nice red color to the henna, BUT OMG, my bathroom, my clothes, my scalp, my hands, my face is covered in red powder! It washes off well with soap and water but it just keeps transferring onto everything I touch and not everything can be washed with soap and water, you know? I think this might be the first and only product I haven’t liked from Henna Color Lab. I think I just wasted $15 🙁

This stuff is a must have for all women who love their red hair! I have a pretty oily scalp so I put a generous amount on my scalp and hair the day after I wash my hair at night before bed. That way it’s in my hair before there is a ton of oil build up . Kind of like a preventative action. It smells nice and absorbs well. The only reason I didn’t give the dry shampoo 5 stars is because of the residue it leaves on your hands when applying. It’s a little annoying but of course there will be a stain when applying a pigmented powder. It washes off really easily, a little harder to get off scalp but it isn’t very noticeable due to how well it blends with henna color. I also like to put it on my roots in between henna treatments to mask any growth.
